LinkedIn Brings Job Seeker App to Android

If you have an Android smartphone and also happen to be looking for a new job, there’s a new resource you might want to check out—the LinkedIn Job Seeker app.

First released for iOS devices back in June, Job Seeker is finally available on Google’s mobile platform as well. Launched in the Google Play Store Thursday, the new app has all the features of the iOS version, but was “built from the ground up specifically for the Android experience,” LinkedIn’s Daniel Ayele wrote in a blog post.

The app features left and right-hand navigation menus, and an action bar at the top of all main pages so you’re never more than one click away from discovering your next potential career move.

“The world of job seeking can be all consuming,” Ayele said. “From secretly stalking the open reqs page of your dream company to sending endless applications into the black hole of online job listings, your job search can quickly begin to feel like a job in and of itself.”

Dubbed the “one-stop shop for Android users’ job seeking needs,” Job Seeker lets you search, sort, and filter open positions; see who you know at a company along with more information about the job poster; and then apply in just a few taps using your LinkedIn profile. From there, you can easily track the jobs you’ve viewed and applied for, and get notified when new jobs open up or when they’re about to expire.

Head over to Google Play to download the app now. It’s available in all English-speaking countries globally.
