Dr. Catrin Hechl-Novak received her Doctor of Business Administration in
Organizational Leadership from Northcentral University, San Diego,
California and holds an MBA degree in Human Resources from Iona College,
New Rochelle, New York, as well as an MA degree in Teaching
International Business and Marketing from Austria. Dr. Hechl-Novak has
extensive leadership experience in operations and administration, as
well as teaching experience both in the United States and Europe. Her
research interests focus on employee/student retention especially
pertaining to the Millennial generation. As a teacher, Dr. Hechl-Novak
inspires growth in students by giving them tools to take into other
disciplines and continue learning outside of a classroom environment.
Among these tools are a sense of curiosity, open-mindedness, and a
thirst for knowledge. She believes transformative learning is most
likely to occur when students become engaged with the material and
perceive the subject matter to be directly relevant to their own lives.

Dr. Hechl-Novak is Adjunct Faculty at the Irvine campus.
